The VisionMaster FT Radar is part of our ARPA radar series, a reliable and easy to use range of products that incorporates innovative technology. VisionMaster FT Radar delivers clear radar images in extreme weather conditions, increased operating efficiency and safety at sea for all classes of vessels.

The High Resolution Displays of Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine products deliver crisp and clear radar images for increased visibility. Situation awareness is enhanced by target detection further reducing stress-levels of the operators. The ARPA series brings greater bridge performance and improved navigation accuracy, increasing operating efficiency and safety level at sea, whilst offering a user-friendly interface

Versatile

In order to maximise compatibility with a wide range of vessels and operating systems, the VisionMaster FT Radar is available in various configurations, including a wide range of interswitchable X-Band and S-Band formats.

The product can be configured to meet a vessel’s individual requirements. It can also be quickly upgraded to chart radar, ECDIS or a TotalWatch multi-function workstation.

Further upgrades can be configured to include automatic chart downloads, integrated weather routing and remote diagnostics, as well as CCTV support and 3D vision sonar terrain.

The VisionMaster FT Chart Radar is a software kit upgrade for the VisionMaster FT radar, and incorporates all the standard features of the stand-alone radar. This electronic chart capability can be retrofitted without hardware modifications.

The Chart Radar provides electronic charting capability integrated with the radar picture for additional functionality and enhanced safety at sea. It is designed to display electronic charts in vector format. Charts may be uploaded through a supplied CD reader or optionally through the VisionMaster gateway connected to a broadband communications link.

VisionMaster FT Radar allows to incorporate VisionMaster FT ECDIS function into the same system. In this way, the user can use a single console and can choose between RADAR / ECDIS modes, any time. The versatility of this functionality allows a better operation, giving the navigator ease of use and simplicity. It is not necessary to change position on the bridge in order to change the system. With VisionMaster FT RADAR ECDIS, change from one mode to the other is done with one simple click, keeping the same hardware controls and graphic interface in both modes.

The VisionMaster FT platform allows the visualization of Conning information in all its products: Radar, Chart Radar, ECDIS, ECDIS with Radar Overlay and TotalWatch Multifunction Station. This function makes possible to have important information always accessible, including data from systems such as speed log, echo sounder, propulsion, rudder angle, RoT, wind, trim, balance, CCTV, thermal cameras, etc.

With VisionMaster FT Conning, it’s possible to configure several different pages to be displayed in full screen mode to show the most relevant sensors and systems information for the on-going ship operation. For example, it’s possible to create dedicated pages with the appropriate data for docking, navigation, loading, anchoring, bunkering, etc.

Conning Information Display can also be shown in the “Conning Side Pages", which are information sidebands displayed simultaneously in radar and/or ECDIS mode. It’s also possible to create several tabs to select the most appropriate page to the current operation, same as it can be done with full screen conning mode.

VisionMaster FT Conning functionality fully complies with International Maritime Organization (IMO) standards. In addition, it provides further functions, such as CCTV cameras integration, to improve the operability and safety of the ship at sea.

The multifunction VisionMaster FT TotalWatch offers complete control and flexibility for bridge manning. It easily displays Radar, Chart Radar and ECDIS in any combination and configuration to suit different navigational situations.
